What is the vehicle donation program?

We have partnered with Vehicles for Charity (VFC) to accept vehicles as a donation to Rocky Mountain Conservancy.

Does my vehicle have to be running?

No. We will accept any vehicle whether it starts or not.

What vehicles do you accept?
We accept cars, trucks, vans, RVs, motorbikes, dirt bikes, boats, and trailers.

What happens to my vehicle once it is picked up?

The vehicle will either go to an auto auction or auto salvage company depending on the condition of the vehicle.

Will I get a donation receipt?
Yes, once the vehicle is sold, VFC will send you an acknowledgement letter for your donation, along with any IRS documentation needed for tax filing purposes.

My vehicle isn’t registered in Colorado, will you still accept it?
Yes, however, you will need a notary to acknowledge your signature as the seller on the title before the vehicle is picked up. Once that is complete, the tow company will be able to arrange pick up of your vehicle.

Is the Conservancy informed of my donation?
Yes, once the paperwork is complete, the company will pass that information along to us, including your name, contact information, and the value of your donation.

Will I need anything before I start the process?
Yes, you will need the details of the vehicle — VIN, make, model, year, mileage, and the title #.
