Kawuneeche Valley Summer Lecture Series

This summer, Rocky Mountain Conservancy is excited to sponsor a series of free, public talks at the Kawuneeche Visitor Center on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park! The third talk in this series will be “Kawuneeche Valley Wetland Restoration” presented by RMNP Ecologist Isabel de Silva Shewell. This talk will discuss how the Kawuneeche Valley has largely transitioned from a beaver-willow ecosystem state to an elk-moose-grassland ecosystem state, and how the Kawuneeche Valley Restoration Collaborative (KVRC) has been working on design, implementation, and monitoring to support restoration efforts.
