Bettie Course: Milner Pass Tundra Hike
Aug 20, 2025
$40Join us for a women’s hike across the alpine tundra in Rocky Mountain National Park!
Join us for a women’s hike to Milner Pass from Alpine Visitor Center! The hike will take you on a journey above treeline, enjoying views into the pristine Forest Canyon before dropping into treeline to Poudre Lakes and Milner Pass. This is a one way hike on the Ute trail that is mostly all downhill. Rocky Mountain Conservancy staff will run the shuttle for the group.
Distance and Elevation Gain: This hike is about 4 miles with 300 feet of elevation gain and 1,300 feet of elevation loss
Please note these hikes are meant to be an inclusive and fun way to get outside! We will be hiking at a pace that is comfortable for a large group. Everyone should feel like they can chat on the trail! This typically means a 1-1.5 mile per hour pace on the way up and a 1.5-2 mile per hour pace on the way down. The focus of these hikes is community building and connection and we intentionally move at a moderate pace.
The Conservancy provides transportation to and from the trailhead. Registration includes all park fees and permits.
Who: This program is intended for women ages 16 and up. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
When: Wednesday, August 20th from 8:00am – 2:30pm. Ending time is approximate and depends on traffic conditions and the pace of the group. Please leave yourself some free time after the hike in case we get back later than expected.
