Before heading into the field, it’s important to be ready for the unexpected. In this presentation, we’ll explore how to tailor your first aid kit and skills to your group, destination, and trip length. You’ll learn what to include in a kit, the pros and cons of buying versus building your own, and opportunities to further your medical training. Whether you want to build your own first aid kit from scratch or modify a kit you already have, don’t miss this opportunity to take control of your safety and be prepared for whatever comes your way!

Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm. There will be a one hour presentation followed by 30 minutes for Q & A.

About Your Instructor: Katie Colson is the Education Coordinator for the Rocky Mountain Conservancy. She is a Wilderness EMT and a member of the Rocky Mountain National Park Search and Rescue team. Katie has guided ice climbing, rock climbing, mountaineering, and backcountry skiing.
