Guided Hike: Sandbeach Lake

Come along with us to Sandbeach Lake! Sitting at 10,343 feet, Sandbeach Lake offers stunning views with Mount Meeker towering just to the north. On a clear day, you can also spot Copeland Mountain in the distance.

This trail includes challenging uphill and downhill sections, with some steep and rocky portions—but with a bit of perseverance, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping lake views and a unique, sandy subalpine landscape.

Distance and Elevation Gain: This hike is about 9 miles with 2,000ft of elevation gain and loss.

Please note these hikes are meant to be an inclusive and fun way to get outside! We will be hiking at a pace that is comfortable for a large group. Everyone should feel like they can chat on the trail! This typically means a 1-1.5 mile per hour pace on the way up and a 1.5-2 mile per hour pace on the way down. The focus of these hikes is community building and connection and we intentionally move at a moderate pace.

The Conservancy provides transportation to and from the trailhead. Registration includes all Park fees and permits.
