Guided Hike: Ute Trail – AVC to Milner Pass

Join us for a beautiful alpine hike Rocky Mountain National Park!

Join us for a hike from Alpine Visitor Center to Milner Pass along the Ute Trail! The views from Forest Canyon Pass will take your breath away – literally! This route takes you on an adventure almost entirely above tree line. Enjoy a mostly downhill hike from Alpine visitor across open tundra to Poudre lakes and the headwaters of the Cache La Poudre River.

Distance and Elevation Gain: This hike is about 4 miles with 200 ft of elevation gain and 1,300 feet of elevation loss.

Please note these hikes are meant to be an inclusive and fun way to get outside! We will be hiking at a pace that is comfortable for a large group. Everyone should feel like they can chat on the trail! This typically means a 1-1.5 mile per hour pace on the way up and a 1.5-2 mile per hour pace on the way down. The focus of these hikes is community building and connection and we intentionally move at a moderate pace.

The Conservancy provides transportation to and from the trailhead. Registration includes all Park fees and permits.
