NEW! Anna Wolfrom Dove & the Wigwam Tea Room
Aug 16, 2020$80
Anna Wolfrom Dove was a single woman homesteader who earned the claim to her land in 1914. Anna operated a successful tea room named the Wigwam on her homestead and in its heyday, the tea room attracted up to 200 visitors a day. The buildings still stand in what is now Rocky Mountain National Park. We will learn about Anna’s remarkable life while we visit the site of her tea room. We will also discuss the other single woman homesteaders in the Estes Park area which include Ida McCreery, Esther Burnell, Katherine Garetson, and Amanda Blocker Byrd.
