The Kawuneeche Turns White: Discover Opportunities by Traveling Over Snow
Dec 8, 2024
The Kawuneeche Valley doesn’t go dormant in the winter. In fact, it’s quite the opposite!
The possibilities for travel and discovery open up for those willing to add snowshoes or cross country skis to their exploration outfits. In this free, 1-hour presentation, Rocky Mountain National Park volunteer Jim Young will share some of his experience and what can be discovered during winter recreation and exploration in the Kawuneeche Valley.
And please stick around after the presentation to learn about how you can get involved as a park volunteer, supporting school field trips and snowshoe walks on the west side of the park. New volunteers warmly welcomed!
When: Sunday, December 8, 2024, 12:30pm
Where: Kawuneeche Visitor Center, 16018 US-34, Grand Lake, CO
