Winter Hike: Deer Mountain

Jan 5, 2026

Hit the snowy trails together for a group hike to spectacular views on Deer Mountain!

Discover the serene winter beauty of Deer Mountain on this challenging winter hike! This guided trek will venture up the Deer Mountain Trail, where the climb rewards you with sweeping vistas of Longs Peak, Upper Beaver Meadows, Moraine Park, and Estes Park. Along the way, your guides will share insights into the park’s winter ecology and wildlife, and you’ll experience the tranquility of nature in winter.

No prior winter hiking or snowshoe experience is required. Snowshoes or microspikes will be provided based on trail conditions. Snowshoes are best for fresh snow deeper than six inches, and microspikes are ideal on packed snow or icy terrain.
