Join us for an evening of learning and fun as we discuss important tips and tricks for staying safe while hiking in the winter.
If you typically hang up your hiking boots when the snow falls, this free 1-hour clinic is for you! We’ll discuss the basics of winter hiking, from how to layer, what to carry in your pack, and how to select the right traction devices for snowy or icy conditions. We’ll also introduce you to useful websites where you can learn about avalanche risk ahead of your hike. This classroom program is open to everyone and is recommended for ages 12 and up.
