b'Encouraging Stewardship Through Learning FIELD INSTITUTEThe Conservancy Field Institute Program continued to offer classes and hands-on learning experiences in Rocky Mountain National Park through 2019. As in 2018, the Conservancy offered nearly all its kids classes tuition-free. The Field Institute also served a variety of audiences on park-related topics with more than 300 classes/tours offered to 7,042 participants. We also held 73 outreach programs with 4,021 participants which translates into broader public reach through custom programs. JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM Rockys Junior Ranger program continues to excite and engage young people with park wildlife, flora and outdoor ethics. In 2019, more than 240 formal programs were offered to almost 7,500 participants. The Conservancy funds the printing of the Junior Ranger activity booklets as well as the production of badges through the Next Generation Fund. In 2019, nearly 43,000 Junior Ranger books were distributed, with more than 18,000 badges awarded. Programs covered a variety of topics, including forest ecology, to climate change, to animal adaptations, and wilderness ethics.
