b'Enhancing the Rocky Experience The Conservancy plays an important role with Rocky Mountain National Park, and with our other public lands partners, by giving these natural areas a way to engage with visitors through books, and other educational materials, and through educational programs, reaching them on both an emotional and intellectual level. In addition to supporting the operations of the Conservancy, retail profits from five Nature Stores in Rocky helped to: 1) provide educational materials to visitors; and 2) fund important educational programs and projects. In 2019, sales to park visitors increased to just over $3.7 million. The amount of direct aid to the park from retail sales was $102,500, which helped to fund programs and supplies needed by program staff, including the printing of the park newspaper, printing site bulletins, providing ranger program supplies, museum support, Distance Learning programs, and special events, such as the Biennial Research Conference for the Continental Divide Research Learning Center. Publishing to Bring Rocky to Life Publishing books, guides, and creating visitor-service products remains an enduring facet of our efforts in supporting the parks educational mission. In 2019, a new Wild Basin Guide was published to highlight the natural and cultural history and unique sites in the Wild Basin area of Rocky Mountain National Park. The Conservancy also updated and reprinted the educational and fun Trail Ridge Road Sticker Book for kids, and updated and reprinted the historic Bob Flame, Rocky Mountain Ranger book as well. As part of the membership and donor outreach program, the Conservancy continued the publication of its popular quarterly print publication, the Quarterly. Approximately 28,000 newsletters were received at mailboxes in 2019, with an online newsletter reaching more than 8,500 people each quarter.2019 ANNUAL REPORAL REPORT T 172019 ANNU'
