Honor and Memorial Gifts

Pay tribute to someone special through our honor and memorial program.

Establishing a memorial or honor gift is a meaningful way to pay tribute to a loved one or celebrate a special occasion, while supporting our mission. We have several options available.

Make a Financial Gift

Your one-time tax-deductible gift will extend the legacy of your loved one and ensure our beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park will continue to thrive for future generations to come. You can donate a gift online here.
  1. Please include the memorial or honor name.
  2. Choose the fund you would like your donation to support.
  3. Include contact information if you would like our staff to acknowledge the donation to the designated family or individual handling affairs for the deceased.

Leaf Plaques

Our plaques consist of beautiful, engraved aspen leaf-shaped plaques that are installed on our donor wall in the lower level of Beaver Meadows Visitor Center, which provides a quiet space for reflection. The wall evokes a peaceful grove of aspen trees in fall and is a reminder of the wonder found throughout the park.

Plaques are a meaningful option to remember or pay tribute to your loved ones and allow for a personal engraving of up to ten words. All leaves remain on the wall for five years.

We have various options for one-time minimum donations:

  • Our copper leaf begins at $1,000
  • Our silver leaf begins at $5,000
  • Our gold leaf begins at $10,000

When you donate a leaf plaque, you may choose to support the fund that is the most meaningful to you or your loved ones. To learn more or ask questions, please contact us.

Tribute Benches

Our rustic benches are ideal for peaceful reflection and remembrance of your loved ones. Benches can be purchased to remember or honor your loved ones and are placed in a variety of locations throughout the park. They have a lifespan of five to ten years depending on the location. Please note that memorial or tribute plaques are not permitted on benches.

The minimum donation for a bench is $1,000 and your donation benefits the park’s trails program.
